Blood Skull PvP
Blood Skull PvP is Vanguard OT's ranked player-versus-player progression system. It tracks PvP points, kills, deaths, streaks, and a visible skull rank.
PvP Points
Blood Skull points measure ranked PvP performance.
| Visible result | Point behavior |
|---|---|
| Valid kill against an equal or stronger opponent | +1 point |
| Valid kill against a slightly lower opponent | +1 point |
| Kill against an opponent considered too weak | No point gain |
| Cowardly kill or a PvP death | Points can be lost |
Stronger opponents do not award extra points. Valid same-rank and stronger-opponent kills use the same configured one-point award.
Only the visible classification and resulting point message should guide player expectations. Repeated or invalid matchups may be rejected without revealing internal enforcement rules.
Blood Skull Ranks

Ranks are demotable. The lower demotion threshold gives a buffer so a single point change near a promotion threshold does not immediately switch the rank back and forth.
Blood Skull colors display PvP rank. They are not permanent punishment skulls and do not grant a separate combat bonus.

Important Notes
- Blood Skull PvP unlocks at 20 rebirths.
- A rank can increase or decrease as points change.
- Guild membership is not required for Blood Skull participation, but guild joining unlocks at 50 rebirths. See Guilds.
- Abuse-prevention and participation checks are intentionally not documented.
