Blood Skull PvP
Blood Skull PvP is Vanguard OT's ranked player-versus-player progression system. It tracks PvP points, kills, deaths, streaks, and a visible skull rank.
PvP Points
Blood Skull points measure ranked PvP performance.
| Visible result | Point behavior |
|---|---|
| Valid kill against an equal or stronger opponent | +1 point |
| Valid kill against a slightly lower opponent | +1 point |
| Kill against an opponent considered too weak | No point gain |
| Valid cowardly kill against a much weaker opponent | -2 points |
| Counted PvP death | -1 point |
Stronger opponents do not award extra points. Classification uses rebirth brackets, not skull rank. Valid kills against the same bracket, a stronger bracket, or one bracket lower award one point. Points do not fall below zero.
Only the visible classification and resulting point message should guide player expectations. Repeated or invalid matchups may be rejected without revealing internal enforcement rules.
Blood Skull Ranks
| Rank | Skull color | Promotion threshold | Demotion threshold |
|---|---|---|---|
| Veteran | Green | 50 points | Below 45 points |
| Elite | Yellow | 100 points | Below 90 points |
| Pro | White | 250 points | Below 225 points |
| Master | Red | 500 points | Below 450 points |
| Ripper | Black | 1,000 points | Below 900 points |
Ranks are demotable. The lower demotion threshold gives a buffer so a single point change near a promotion threshold does not immediately switch the rank back and forth.
Blood Skull colors display PvP rank. They are not permanent punishment skulls and do not grant a separate combat bonus.
